Project Scope
This project involved a first-floor addition along with significant remodelling of the ground floor. The client's goal was to ​seamlessly integrate the new addition into the existing structure, which required restructuring the ground floor to ​accommodate the necessary areas and rooms, ensuring a cohesive flow with the design of the first floor.
The newly constructed first floor includes three bedrooms, one with a walk-in robe for extra storage. There is a modern ​bathroom with all the amenities. The lounge room is a comfortable space for family time. There is also a study area for work or ​homework. Additionally, there is a storage room to help keep the living spaces tidy.
The ground floor underwent a complete redesign, transforming it into its current layout. It now consists of a main living room ​and dining area, a new kitchen equipped with a butler's pantry, a laundry room, a bathroom, a master bedroom with a walk-in ​robe and an ensuite, and a guest room.
The goal was to create two separate living areas while maintaining a sense of connection and integration throughout the ​house. This was achieved by carefully designing each space to function independently yet harmoniously. The first-floor ​addition provides a private, self-contained living area, while the redesigned ground floor offers an open and inviting space for ​everyday living. Thoughtful design elements and consistent finishes ensure that both levels feel cohesive and unified, creating ​a home that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
Design
Our design approach for this project was driven by two primary goals. Firstly, we aimed to ​create a home that seamlessly integrates two distinct living areas while maintaining a ​connected and cohesive feel. Secondly, we focused on achieving the perfect balance ​between practicality and style. Through close collaboration with our clients, we crafted a ​design that meets their specific needs and preferences.
The result is a home that not only delights our clients but also fills us with pride. The house is ​designed to offer a warm, open, and family-friendly atmosphere. We ensured there is ample ​space for privacy, relaxation, and social gatherings.

Facade
The facade features a modern, clean design with a light-coloured exterior. Utilising two facade ​finishes, vertical groove cladding and texture coat render, the design achieves a sophisticated ​look. The render seamlessly bridges the two floors together, while the cladding finish on the ​upper level breaks up the design, adding visual interest and depth. This combination of materials ​creates a cohesive and stylish appearance for the home.
Master Bedroom
A spacious master bedroom designed for maximum ​comfort and relaxation. This bedroom features a ​walk-in robe and an ensuite equipped with modern ​amenities. The ensuite includes a twin bowl vanity ​with elegant fixtures, an in-wall cistern toilet for a ​sleek look, and a luxurious wet room area that ​combines a refreshing rain shower and a hand ​shower.
This wet room also includes a stylish freestanding ​bath, perfect for unwinding. A dwarf wall runs the ​length of the ensuite, adding both functionality and ​a touch of sophistication to the space.
1st Floor Rooms
The first floor areas are designed with ample space, prioritising comfort and practicality. The ​bedrooms, in particular, offer generous room, ensuring that each family member has a personal ​retreat that meets their needs. These spaces provide the perfect balance of privacy and ​accessibility, making everyday living both convenient and enjoyable.
Bedroom 3
This bedroom is cosy and inviting, with a comfortable bed and stylish bedding. Natural light ​comes in through large windows with sheer curtains, giving the room a soft, airy feel. Simple ​decorations like framed artwork and a potted plant add a nice touch, making it a great place to ​relax.
Bathroom
This bathroom combines functionality and style with a modern vanity, an oval mirror, and a ​luxurious freestanding bathtub. A perfectly positioned window allows natural light to flood the ​space, making it bright and inviting. The separate shower area with a glass partition on a dwarf ​wall keeps the room open and airy, while simple yet elegant fixtures complete the look.
Lounge
This cosy Lounge room features a large sectional sofa perfect for family movie nights. The ​wooden slatted partition adds a touch of warmth and separates the space from the rest of the ​house while maintaining an open feel. Natural light filters through timber screen, creating a bright ​and inviting atmosphere.
Bedroom 5
This playroom is bright and cheerful, designed to inspire creativity and fun. The room features a ​reading corner with shelves full of colourful books, a small table and chairs for drawing or crafts, ​and a cosy area with cushions and toys for imaginative play. It’s a perfect space for kids to learn, ​play, and explore.
Be​droom 4
This bedroom is designed with simplicity and comfort in mind. The space is well-lit with natural ​light from two large windows, creating a bright and inviting atmosphere. Key features include a ​cozy bed with soft, neutral bedding, ample storage solutions, and a playful yet calming decor ​ideal for a child’s room.
Kitchen
In its new location, the kitchen underwent a complete redesign, offering a fresh layout and new ​features. The addition of a spacious walk-in pantry ensures a tidy kitchen space. The new kitchen ​features an island bench, a large 900mm oven, and a convenient breakfast bar. The pantry is ​equipped with cupboards and storage, creating a highly functional and organised space.​
Laundry, Bathroom ​& Pantry
In their new locations, these two newly built rooms offer functional and stylish spaces. Compact ​in design to maximise space for more frequently used areas, these rooms make a significant ​impact despite their smaller floor area!
Ground Floor Areas
The ground floor has welcomed new spaces, including a family room created by removing ​existing walls, creating an open and connected atmosphere between the kitchen, lounge and ​dining room. An existing bedroom has been transformed into a guest room outside a newly ​located living room.
Lounge & Dining
This inviting living area features a neutral colour palette, creating a serene and comfortable ​atmosphere. A large sectional sofa and a round coffee table form the centrepiece, ​complemented by sheer curtains that allow natural light to fill the room. The adjacent dining ​space includes a round wooden table and stylish chairs, perfectly set for family meals and ​gatherings.
Living Room
This light and airy living room features a cosy seating arrangement with a cream-coloured sofa, ​accented by a plush throw pillow and matching ottoman. The space is brightened by sheer floor-​to-ceiling curtains that allow natural light to fill the room, complementing the minimalist decor ​and modern artwork on the walls. A large flat-screen TV sits atop a sleek wooden console, ​perfectly balancing functionality and style.
Guest Room
This guest room is designed for comfort with a plush bed adorned in pastel green and white ​bedding. Natural light floods the room through large, sheer-curtained windows, creating a bright ​and airy ambiance. A cosy grey armchair and tasteful wall art add a personal and inviting touch.
Stairwell
This space features a bright, airy atmosphere with natural light streaming in through large ​windows. The decor is minimalist and elegant, with neutral tones and light wooden furniture. A ​statement chandelier and a potted tree add a touch of sophistication and greenery to the room.
Fi​nishes
The finishes in this project have been carefully selected to blend aesthetics with functionality, ​creating a cohesive and inviting atmosphere. The spaces feature neutral colour palettes with ​light wooden floors, complemented by minimalist decor and elegant fixtures. The use of high-​quality materials and attention to detail ensures a durable and stylish finish that enhances the ​overall appeal of the home.
